The model is being build for specific order with given requirements.
She is scratch build from plans published in Plany Modelarskie 147 in 1989 with six A1 sheets in 1:100 and 1:50 scales. Andrzej is building his carrack in 1:100 scale. She is planks on bulkheads construction (single layer) from birch wood (planks 4 x 2 x 200mm) later stained to dark oak on the outside and inside bulwark and fittings are stained to light oak colour.
Wales are made of pear wood. Afterwards the wood was saturated with oil applied hot which soaked into the wood grain to generate the aged appearance. As you can see the hull is ready with treenails, rudder etc. Aft- and fore- castles have been painted with acrylic from Pactra.
Total length without bowsprit - 478 mm, height - 450 mm. Treenails drawn through steel plate out of bamboo stips. Carrack after 2.5 months of work. I will keep adding the pictures and more details posted as they come.
