Hello Modellers!!!
Summer holidays have started, but I have not stopped working on my model. On the contrary, now I will have more time for my hobby and I wanted to show what is the progress.

Greetings to all Modellers! After this very long break I managed to return to the forum. During that period, caused by other real life obligations, the works on the model moved slowly ahead. Recently my matters stabilized and I am able to carry on with my Alert.
I have finalized works on deck accessories and am getting ready to start with the sails, and hope soon will be able to share that with you also.
And here are current pictures of HMS Alert:

After a long brake I come back with my building report of HMS Alert from ShipYard. Unfortunately large amount of tasks i.e. studies and work delay my progress over model of Alert.
So far I managed to put together 12 gun carriages and gratings. On some pictures you can see the still before painting. Also attached deadeyes channels to the hull and the rail strake.

Some time has passed since I posted the pictures on the forum. Recently I was a bit busy and for the joy from hobby there was not enough time.
I will try to catch up over the next few days.
So today some progress report from my struggles with Alert.

Marta - yes a woman! - has started to build this model of HMS Alert from ShipYard. She has also agreed to share some thoughts and pictures from BoatModelling.com. This is what she had to say so far about the set:
"I must say the the content of the box impressed me. All items have their place i.e. masts, cloth for sails, blocks, paints, brushes etc. All card pieces are laser cut.
I start building log with few pictures of hull’s frame. At the beginning I was a bit scared having seen the amount of details and as read from the manual that all parts must be manually fitted to each other. My concerns were completely unnecessary for each part fits on its own to its designed spot, well with my small help so to speak. Slightly burnt vertical lines on the hull’s plate were very helpful also.
