I'm a member of other model ship building forums, but I figure that one can't have too much good advice from seasoned modellers. I bought an AL kit of the Endeavour almost 25 years ago. Every few years I do a bit of work on it. There was a ten-year long spell when I returned to school. Anyway, I'm finally placing the rigging. I discovered the Marquardt AOS book on the Endeavour many yaers ago, and have been using that as a guide ever since. I had the deck and hull planking down before I got the book, and as a newbie, I didn't know better than to follow the AL kit directions. So, my deck planking doesn't have waterways or chines, but I was too far along to do anything about that.
