Excellent work Walter!!!

I really enjoy your updates, keep em coming!!!!

I used to have the miniature GI JOES! Three inches or so tall. Probably 30 soldiers or more. Unfortunately they were sold in a community sale by my mother years and years ago

Luckily I brought my baseball cards with me when I moved out!!

Your hull planking looks great! Very clean! Beautiful!
Do you taper each plank at the stem and stern or do you use clinkers?

I just bought my next project, Half Moon by Corel. It is a galleon. I am thinking ahead and wondering what the best or correct technique is for such a ship. I think that different countries and builders used different methods for different ships but I am not sure.

What method did you use?

Any ideas regarding Half Moon??

Hello WCKRZAK,Do you mean "Steallers"?On the Wasa,I adjusted each plank especially at the bow.I really should have used more steallers than I did.It was really not a problem useing steallers at the stern due to the way that the Wasa's is shaped. Not useing the steallers at the bow will cause a crowding problem with the hull planks. This can be seen in this bow photo that I do not post that often It has been awhile since my last update. As we wait for a major winter storm to arrive here in New England,I was able to take a few pictures before the snow has started to fly.I have completed the upper most clinker planking along with the caprails.I have also started to frame the stern where the lanturn is located.I think that I will now turn to adding the main wales.Cheers from snowy Norwich Connecticut,Walter

EXCELLENT WORK WALTER!!!

do you change the angles of the planks at the waterline?

how do you know where to start changing the flow of the planks?

your work is great!!!!

on my next project i think i will try your method of planking the deck with the spacers and filling in with the pencil lead and clear sealer!!

are you going to put up sails or keep her naked??

keep posting when you get a chance!!!!!

how bad are you guys getting the snow?

i am down south in West Virginia.

we missed the snow and ice so far. my town flooded yesterday from all the rain, but luckily we were below the freezing line! we had about 35 different roads closed because of high water, but we still have power. we are supposed to get the snow pretty bad tomorrow though. my house is at the top of the appalachain mountains. i dont worry about flooding, but i make up for it with the snow!!!! we are supposed to get 12 inches this weekend!

here is a shot of last weekend
