Slowly I am gaining some experience with lathes
The whole day I worked anchor winch. Sheaves took quite some time. All turned separately. The base is made of polystyrol. Vertical base is made of PCV.

Nice rivets are from my shop : Brass Rivets

Cheers

I want to finish off Zenit, and then I will carry on with vacuum pump and castings. I will need some bits and pieces for Wodnik then.
I will for sure make some sort of log from the build!

In the meanwhile, not too much time recently again, I keep working on gyrocompass.
So far made the stand, almost - still has to clean it and then make the gyrocompass itself

Not too much time due to extensive travel but today I stole some hours.
Almost finished gyrocompass and sprayed bits and pieces with primer:

Not much time, but recently things are getting better. Free weekend so I am trying to catch up with modelling. More and more parts and accessories are ready for painting. I started with primer.
And I have managed to print my own decals for the first time !!!!
It was not so difficult in the end, and I am glad I decided to try them out:

Cheers
